Why Rules Matter in Findom
Findom without agreed rules tends to collapse quickly -- either the sub feels taken advantage of or the domme deals with limit violations constantly. Clear upfront terms protect both sides and make the dynamic sustainable. Think of it as the framework that makes the power exchange actually feel like power exchange.
Tribute Rules
- Tribute on first contact -- many dommes require an opening tribute before any conversation begins. This filters serious subs from people wasting time.
- Standing tribute -- a fixed amount sent weekly or monthly as the cost of access to the dynamic, regardless of activity level.
- Task tributes -- the sub completes a task (buy from a wishlist, send a specific amount) and receives acknowledgment in return.
- Pay-to-speak -- direct messages cost a set amount per session. Common in high-demand dommes setups.
Task Rules
Many findommes assign tasks beyond money to deepen the psychological submission. Common examples:
- Sending a screenshot proving a tribute was sent
- Writing and submitting a budget for domme review
- Buying specific items from a public wishlist
- Following a spending assignment (e.g., "buy yourself nothing luxury this week; that money goes to me")

- Address forms -- most dommes require being addressed as "Mistress," "Goddess," or whatever title they specify. Using her name casually without permission is typically a limit violation.
- Session windows -- many dommes have set hours when they are available. Messaging outside those hours uninvited is usually a violation.
- No begging for attention without tribute -- contact that is not backed by tribute is often ignored or penalized.
Limit Rules
Every real dynamic has hard limits, things neither side will cross regardless of what happens in session. These should be stated before any dynamic begins:
- A monthly spending cap the domme agrees not to push past
- Specific financial accounts or assets that are fully off-limits
- Whether the dynamic is public or anonymous
- What happens if the sub needs to pause or exit the dynamic
Exit Rules
A legitimate findom dynamic always has a clean exit option. Either party can end it. The sub is never trapped, and any domme who implies otherwise is running a scam, not a dynamic. Many established dommes have an explicit off-boarding process: final standing tribute, removal from communications, done.
